Description: Laramie Jubilee Days began in 1940 to commemorate the Golden Anniversary of Wyoming Statehood on July 10. The first ‘Equality Days’ included a fiddlers’ contest, chariot races and a parade. In 1941 it expanded to three days and became known as Laramie Jubilee Days. The duration has varied, as have the events, from horse racing and horse shows to steer roping and rodeo. Currently, the celebration lasts 10 days and includes a concert and fireworks known as Fire in the Sky, downtown activities including street dances, a parade, Mr. T Classic Bull Riding, Junior Bull Riding and 3 PRCA performances.

Description: The chips fly during the Father's Day weekend in June every year in Encampment as loggers come from all over the country to compete for the title of Rocky Mountain Champion Lumberjack.  Using power saws, axes and hand saws, the men and women competitors cut down "trees", chop logs, and saw squared wood blocks in half, racing the clock for the fastest time.  Cowboys ride bulls and broncs and the melodrama encourages the audience to get involved.  This unique Wyoming event assure a good time.  For more information:  woodchoppersjamboree@yahoo.com.

Erickson Memorial Chariot Races is one of the most exciting events in Saratoga.  This annual event is sponsored by the Saratoga Lions Club and the Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce.  The races feature two-horse teams pulling chariots at top speed down a quarter-mile track.  Teams come all over the state of Wyoming and from Colorado.  Add to the excitement with Calcutta betting before each race.  Concessions are provided by the local Boy Scout troops.

Description: The parade typically features 140 brightly illuminated floats, horse drawn wagons, bands, clowns, antique autos, and colorful marching groups. The parade lasts about an hour and 15 minutes and is considered one of the finest Christmas Parades in the Rocky Mountain area.  The parade kicks off at 5 PM sharp at 17th Street and Carey Avenue. It marches north on Carey to 24th Street, then turns right to Capitol Avenue and makes another right on Capitol to head back down to 16th street. It turns right on 16th and ends at Pioneer Avenue.
