Five miles north of Rock Springs
Take Interstate 80 exit 104 (Highway 191 North) and go north 3.2 miles to the Reliance turnoff. Proceed east on County Road 4-42 (Reliance Road) for 1.4 miles
The tipple is the large industrial building to the south. A structure used to sort, grade and load coal produced in a local mine until the 1950s, the tipple is one of only two such structures remaining in the state of Wyoming. A self guided tour with interpretive signs is available during daylight hours.

Located in a restored 1931 post office on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum houses exhibits on the history and culture of Sweetwater County, a large historic photo collection and local history materials. A statue dedicated to explorer and scientist John Wesley Powell is located in front of the building. Hours:
